Debilitating circumstances come to most of us as we age. Because of them, we return to our youthful pursuits to continue where we left off, as I did with art after a 40-year gap.

So here’s me smiling as I tackle one of my main enjoyments; trying to capture the great outdoors with its light & shade, colours, and constant change.

If the weather or conditions are unsuitable, I work indoors from pre-planned photos. These paintings are usually A3, mostly gouache, with some watercolours or acrylic.

During COVID, I have enjoyed painting some ‘bear’ adventures.
